day thirteen

11/30. It's been almost a month since my last post and so much has happened since then. Jagger, you're finally here and doing great. Seems you have a little problem with gas, but mom has that under control for you.
The whole circ issue was crazy. What a stressful time that was, but everything is looking good now.
Mom got really sick after you were born. To the point where I actually got scared. No complications from you being born but just that time of year where cold's a flu's start. Mom was just one of the un lucky ones to get it. I think it started as a simple cold and turned in to pnuemonia, but she is ok now.
Jagger you just keep growing and growing. Up to over 10lbs now!! Big boy!
Booger.. you have been the best big sister we could all hope for. You get a little excited at times, but you have accepted your brother perfectly. There is nothing better for me to see than you give Jagger a hug and kiss and say how much you love him. Now if we could just get you to settle down at night and have quiet time, everything would be perfect. I know that might be asking a lot of a two year old and it may not happen, but it is pretty hard for me to keep up with you. I think for the most part, it is just because I don't really feel healthy. That happens when I don't get any excercise. I really haven't been off the bike like this in probably 10 years and it's pretty hard to adjust. Not to mention it is the toughest holiday season I have had at work in a while.
Speaking of work.. Last post I talked a lot about the interview process I was going through at Ross. I was so sure that I was going to get the job, and so excited to be going in a new direction, and work for a new boss, it felt really good. Bad part is, last Tuesday I was told I didn't get the job. That was pretty hard to take. Not only did I think I was going to like the job so much more than what I am doing now, but I was excited to be making more money for you guys. Well, it is what it is. I didn't get the job, but no use getting upset about it now. I still have a job that is very important and it pay's the bills.
Christmas is coming soon. The house is decorated, the lights are up outside, and we are ready to go. Mom has been wrapping presents like crazy. It's going to be pretty fun this year!!
Love you both. Dad.

day twelve

Only one more day until Jagger is here!!!! Just one hang up now.... Booger and Mommy are getting sick. I'm sure it won't matter to much really. Boog you will be home the whole time and Mommy will actually be at the hospital so they will be able to take care of her there.
Very excited to see you Jagger! G'ma and G'pa Barnes are coming today so they will be here for a couple days. I hope they stay for at least a week, I know Mommy would like that.
G'pa Lilje hung the TV in your play room. It looks pretty good. Now we just gotta get you Boog to watch TV in there and feel comfortable going in there on you own.
In the news... Al Queda are putting bombs on planes headed for the US. Kind of scary, but security measures are finding them before anything happens.
Today is election day and it looks like republicans are going to take control of the House but Democrats will still run the Senate. Kind of confusing, I know. It's gonna be pretty crazy around the house tonight. All four grandparents are staunch Republicans so TV will be on. Even your uncle Teddy was talking about it to me on the phone last night.
Randy Moss was put on waivers after just 4 games with the Vikings. Too bad they really need a good receiver to help them out. Wooo Hooo the Raiders are 4 and 4!! Thats the best start to a season since I think 2003. 7 years!!!
We went trick or treating the other night. That was a lot of fun. Booger you loved it so much and I really don't think you even knew what you were doing. In fact, when we got up to one house they opened the door and you said "Happy Birthday"!! Ha ha. Everybody laughed but you still had fun.
That's about it for now kids. Tomorrow is a big day for Jagger and Mommy, and all of us. Can't wait!! Love you both. Dad.
